James's Theorem is sometimes spelled as James' Theorem --Hbghlyj (talk) 13:05, 24 March 2024 (UTC)

Get it properly compliant first. --prime mover (talk) 13:15, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
I tried. But I don't know what I should add to the current page. --Hbghlyj (talk) 13:24, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
a) Make the definitions compliant. Stating them is inadequate, as surely you know from your undergraduate studies. Hence we differentiate between assumptions made and statements being proved.
b) Links to definitions of certain items missing. Link to corollary missing. It is inadequate to link to the main theorem. If you invoke a corollary, make sure it has been implemented. Hence the problem with jumping into the middle of something big and important and exciting when you have not completed the less exciting, less important, and less high status results upon which a given result depends.
c) Implement the necessary link to the eponym in the standard format.
d) Completion would of course be a nice-to-have. --prime mover (talk) 14:07, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
a) Yes, I edited the definitions to "Let $X$ be..." to differentiate between assumptions made and statements being proved.
b) Yes, I just found the page of that corollary, then I linked to it. --Hbghlyj (talk) 15:06, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
c) Yes, I implemented the necessary link to the eponym (Robert Clarke James) in the standard format. --Hbghlyj (talk) 15:11, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
Some way to go yet. --prime mover (talk) 19:09, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
Yes, I replaced "For any" with $\forall$. Is it ok to move to main Wiki? --Hbghlyj (talk) 23:59, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
