Historical Note on Cantor-Bernstein-Schröder Theorem
Cantor raised the Cantor-Bernstein-Schröder Theorem as a conjecture in $1895$.
He first attempted to prove it in his $1897$ paper.
Ernst Schröder also stated this theorem in $1896$, but his proof, as well as Cantor's, was flawed.
It was Felix Bernstein who finally supplied a correct proof in his $1898$ Ph.D. thesis.
