No to the redirect because it will compromise the operation of templates

Can you elaborate? Almost all categories under Category:Examples are named differently. Note that I am not debating the name of Amicable Pair/Examples itself. Just the category. — Lord_Farin (talk) 15:08, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
On page e.g. 220, the template {{NumberPageLink}} is invoked, which does all the work of "previous" and "next" in the context of interesting integer sequences. It automatically puts the number into Category:Amicable Pairs/Examples, or whatever category, depending on what the cat parameter is set to.
We could of course change the name of the category invoked to Category:Examples of Amicable Pairs but that would be a heap of work which at the moment I'm looking at with a rising feeling of dismay.
Hence (at least at the moment) I'm not on board with the suggestion of changing it. Sorry, but that's my take on the matter. --prime mover (talk) 17:20, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
I see and understand. The 500+ links for NumberPages are not really inviting to me either. — Lord_Farin (talk) 19:04, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
To be fair, most of those would be automatically amended if the template were changed, but it would mean changing the name of all categories of the form Category:Amicable Pairs/Examples to Category:Examples of Amicable Pairs and so on. Not as onerous as changing every single reference from every single number page, but tedious all the same. --prime mover (talk) 20:18, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
