A bar chart is a form of graph which consists of a finite set of (usually) vertical bars whose length determines the statistic being communicated.
Also known as
A bar chart is often seen referred to as a bar graph.
Some sources use bar diagram, but that is rarer.
Some sources use the term histogram, but that is usually used to apply to a specialised graph of this type.
