Just noticed that the 'cdf' I introduced today for arbitrary meas. fns isn't really 'cumulative', rather 'anticumulative'. Schilling merely calls it 'distribution function' but such isn't really accurate. I will get back to this. --Lord_Farin 17:18, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

New name in place, got it from WP: Survival function. --Lord_Farin 20:37, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
WP can be surprisingly useful - it's just patchy. --prime mover 21:12, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

I've made explicit the dependence of $F$ on $f$. Grafakos considers survival functions (calls it a distribution function) of different functions on the fly, so this is more convenient for the stuff I'll do over the summer. Caliburn (talk) 14:59, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

FWIW, Integral of Survival Function currently has $\map F f$ instead of $F_f$. I prefer the latter but technically, 1. it needs to be noted here that $\map F f$ is also used; 2. we ought to uniformise notation within PW. — Lord_Farin (talk) 17:29, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
So we should write $\map {\map F f} t$? Can't say I'm too fond. Would prefer to go with $F_f$ (since the survival function has nothing on here except a few theorem statements) and note that $\map F f$ is another convention, but will get to this in due course. Grafakos uses $d_f$, will note that too. Caliburn (talk) 17:53, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
I prefer $F_f$ myself. Can we relegate the $\map {\map F f} t$ notation to an "also denoted as" section? --prime mover (talk) 18:22, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
We're all on the same page, $F_f$ is the notation of choice and the others should be aka's. — Lord_Farin (talk) 18:38, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
