The change from $f \left({\xi}\right)$ to $f \left({x}\right)$ in the definition of $R_n$ is an error correction (maybe I should have said so, I thought the error was obvious).

The previous definition was: $R_n = f \left({\xi}\right) - T_n \left({f \left({\xi}\right)}\right)$. The right hand side is a polynomial in $x$, but $R_n \left({x}\right)$ clearly isn't a polynomial in general. --Ivar Sand (talk) 06:18, 2 November 2016 (EDT)
