Length of Latus Rectum of Hyperbola

Theorem

Let $\KK$ be a hyperbola such that:

$a$ denotes the length of the semitransverse axis of $\KK$

$b$ denotes the length of the semiconjugate axis of $\KK$

Let $L$ denote the length of the latus rectum of $\KK$.

Then:

$L = \dfrac {2 b^2} a$
