Welcome to ProofWiki! Since you're new, you may want to check out the general help page. It's the best first stop to see how things are done (next to reading proofs, of course!). Please feel free to contribute to whichever area of mathematics interests you, either by adding new proofs, or fixing up existing ones. If you have any questions please feel free to contact one of the administrators, or post your question on the questions page.

Here are some useful pages to help get you started:

  • Community Portal - To see what needs to be done, and keep up to date with the community.
  • Recent Changes - To keep up with what's new, and what's being added.
  • Check out our house style if you are keen on contributing.
  • Main Page talk - This is where most of the main discussions regarding the direction of the site take place. If you have any ideas, please share them!

House Style

Rayyanahmed1423, please read the house style guide before making edits on $\mathsf{Pr} \infty \mathsf{fWiki}$. I've moved your page under your user page for now. In particular:

  • Use $\LaTeX$ formmating for all theorems and proofs.
  • Maintain a formal tone, style, and format.
  • Put each step, idea, or definition on a separate line (this requires leaving a blank line between them in the editor).
  • Don't use all-caps.
  • Don't put your name all over the page.

Once you are confident that you are following the style, and you are confident that your proof is sufficiently unique to be worth including:

  • Multiple proofs for the same theorem should be placed in subpages of the existing page. That is, your proof should be placed in:
Parallel Transversal Theorem: Proof 2

Again, please don't use your own name in the page title. Titles should usually be descriptive. This is overridden only when the theorem's name is well-known in literature.

I understand that this can make contributing somewhat tedious, but this is how we write on $\mathsf{Pr} \infty \mathsf{fWiki}$. Thank you for cooperating. --CircuitCraft (talk) 12:35, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

I support what CircuitCraft says.
Please use a sandbox to experiment with developing pages to our house style guide. Many thanks for your co-operation. --prime mover (talk) 21:03, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
